My Father's Chair - Father's Day 2024

A few months back, we asked fans to submit photos of themselves with their late fathers for a tribute to these incredible men, set to my song "My Father's Chair", which I wrote to honor my own father. We received an overwhelming response and are so grateful for all those who submitted. Unfortunately, we could not include everyone's images, but we wanted to share the finished product. This is in honor of all of the fathers we lost. Happy Father's Day.

My step-dad, Rhea Garrett Shrum ("Ray") died on June 15, 2022. Friday, June 15, 2024 was the 2 year anniversary since he died from complications from Stage 4 COPD. I miss him every day. Rest in peace, Rhea. 🙏✝️😪

Simply beautiful. Lost my dad 2 years ago this July. He heard me playing this song on the family stereo back in 1985 at our home, and he loved it. Since he died I cannot sit in his chair, I just stare at the empty chair and try and imagine him sitting in it.

I didn't get to know my father as he passed away the day I took my first steps on September 8, 1972, from Hodgkins. I only have one picture of him and I, and it's on my baptism, but he's wasn't holding me; my mom was. I know he loved me, though, and I'm grateful that all of you out there had or still have your father's for longer than I did. Happy Father's Day, Dad! I hope I've made you proud.
