How to Replace Tensioner Drive Belt 1.6 hdi, 1.6 tdci - Citroen / Peugeot

preview_player
Показать описание
All models are equipped with a single, multi-ribbed auxiliary drive belt. The belt tension is automatically adjusted by means of a spring-loaded tensioner.
In the meantime, the roller rolls out, as does the bow and the bearings. I replace the tensioner after 235.000 km. This is only available for models with automatic tensioner.
In this video I will show you step by step how to replace the automatic belt tensioner and the accessory belt drive on the next cars: Peugeot 1.6 hdi, Citroen 1.6 hdi, ford 1.6 tdci, Volvo 1.6d.
Tensioner screw tightening torque: 21 Nm (2,1 daNm)

Thanks to your video, for the first time I dared to fix something on my Peugeot 206 1.6 hdi. I estimate the difficulty of replacing the tensioner as: 1 on a scale of up to 10. Regards from Poland.

Thanks for uploading!
Just a note to anyone reading, my Peugeot partner '14 had 10mm bolts, and with belt snapped, socket extension wouldn't fit on tensioner. Spanners got bolts out.

Thanks AD for the guidance, although the pulley bearings were fine in my tensioner, at tick over, the adjuster was bouncing almost 10mm back and forth in a blur. This gave rise to a severe noise in the area which reduced as the revs were increased. A new tensioner seams to have cured this noise but a small but silent movement can still be seen at the tensioner pulley.

Brilliant video, took some finding for my 2010 focus 1.6 tdci but worth the search. Great advice about removing the back bolt first otherwise I would have been stuck. Great Job. Thanks.

Got caught out with the back bolt when changing the alternator out 🙈, results in a 2 man job getting the belt back on afterwards because the tensioner plate hides under the engine mount l, had to use a pry bar to ease it over the crank to apply bit of tension so it could be used with a socket for the rest of the way, nightmare 👌💯
