“Out Of Time” lyrics:

-verse 1-
The last few months I’ve been working on me, baby
There’s so much trauma in my life
I’ve been so cold to the ones who loved me, baby
I look back now and I realize

-pre chorus-
I remember when I held you
You begged me with your drowning eyes to stay
And I regret I didn’t tell you
Now I can’t keep you from loving him
You made up your mind

-chorus-
Say I love you girl, but I’m out of time
Say I’m there for you but I’m out of time
Say that I’ll care for you but I’m out of time
Said I’m too late to make you mine, out of time

-verse 2-
If he mess up just a little
Baby you know my line
If you don’t trust him a little
Then come right back, girl, come right back
Gimme one chance, just a little
Baby I’ll treat you right
And I’ll love you like I should’ve loved you all the time

-pre chorus-
I remember when I held you (held you baby)
You begged me with your drowning eyes to stay (never again baby)
And I regret I didn’t tell you
Now I can’t keep you from loving him
You made up your mind

-chorus-
Say I love you girl, but I’m out of time
Say I’m there for you but I’m out of time
Say that I’ll care for you but I’m out of time
Said I’m too late to make you mine, out of time

-outro-
Ohh singing, out of time
Said I had you to myself
But I’m out of time
Say that I’ll care for you but I’m out of time
But I’m too late to make you mine, out of time

Out of time
Out of time

(Jim Carrey)
Don’t you dare touch that dial
Because like the song says, you are out of time
You’re almost there, but don’t panic
There’s still more music to come
Before you’re completely engulfed in the blissful embrace of that little light you see in the distance
Soon you’ll be healed, forgiven and refreshed
Free from all trauma, pain, guilt, and shame
You may even forget your own name
But before you dwell in that house forever
Here’s 30 minutes of easy listening to some slow tracks

When we're all old and out of time, we will look back at this era and be so grateful we were there 🙏🖤🌅

It’s crazy that this type of music is finally getting recognized more. I remember hearing Japanese citypop for the first time, and thought people should listen to it more. The fact that he sampled a j pop is so cool, 80s music is so great.

edit: I've never been the most liked video ever, not to mention on my favorite artist's channel. Thanks for the like guys, and I'm glad there's so many of you that feel the same way I do

Man the Japanese City Pop music era was amazing. Tamoko Aran's Midnight Pretenders (song sampled), Tatsuro Yamashita with Fragile and Futari, Makoto Matsushita with Love Is Really Gone, and others dominated. Still, their music lives on. Love it.

When I’ll have kids, I’ll show my kids this guy and tell them: „this guy is more than an artist“

I have a feeling he'll still be doing stuff when he's actually this old, and whether he is or isn't, I'll still love him the same.

This is actually my favorite from the album. Thank you for making it. I might not have had romantic relationship with anyone, but have friends and family members that I could have treated better. That’s how I can “relate” to the lyrics.

the fact he sampled Midnight pretenders seals the fact that this is one of my favorite weekend albums. City pop just matches his style of music, it's just a match made in heaven

For those wondering “where is this song from?” It’s from Midnight Pretenders by Tomoko Aran. It’s a classic 80s Japanese pop song. Very beautiful to listen to.

The Weeknd just doesn’t seem to miss. Not only is he one of the most consistent artists in the industry, but he is able to pump out albums without having to sacrifice the quality nor starve his audience by waiting too long to drop. He’s always perfectly positioned in the sweet spot. It’s something I greatly admire as an aspiring artist myself. God knows I don’t have any where near the talent Abel possesses, but my goal for this year is to just improve the quality of my beats and create the best music I am capable of, even if it never matches up to this masterpiece of an album. Just happy to be a part of the same universe, even if I never have more than 500 fans! Love you Abel! Thanks for another classic album!
