What measures are in place to keep a nuclear reactor cool? What roles do heat and fluids play in the safety of reactors? Join the Canada Science and Technology Museum and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories to learn all about the thermalhydraulics systems, fuel bundle deformations and the safety systems that keep CANDU reactors cool.

I see you guys are enabling "Remix this video" which is always appreciated. Maybe you could further facilitate that by posting a version without music? And perhaps looser editing or even b-roll? If you upload it as UNLISTED and then include a link to it in this video's description then people looking for particular topics or footage (such as myself) could do a better job remixing without CSTM's video stream being polluted by b-roll that general public would not care to see.

I think you need more bubble wrap.  Thank you.

So if I wanted mine to boil (BWR) my best chance would be a stifling engine in a vacuum chamber?

I remember now I studied all these reactor types got to the safety systems and deducted that if it did meltdown it wouldn't spray radiation every where then realized there probably wasn't a continuous operating temperature and it had fluctuations in the core temperature

But I would like to point out

I schemed the Russians kicking ass on the Ukraine nuclear power plant in 2014 and they totally almost blew it up

But the contaminated water was dealt with so I could have it exploded spraying radiation into environment

Close though

Ali Siddiqui, Please don't do any experiments. We all know-how experiments at Chernobil turned out.

Omg are species is so

Is that windows operating system

I did not think it was gonna be this easy....

Like if your gonna run nuclear reactors and important stuff

Spring for the creation of operation system

Not just use the most common operating system

I cant believe in am tripping out to this video

It's like a mission critical type infrastructure

I think I've even researched this before in college its bringing back flash back memories to thinking everyone in the world is stupid and paying high rent and small apartment

I was all focused on

Thinking it was encryption with an added timestamps likely from the machine address code ID

Located on the computer work stations

Thinking we had to get a copy of the work stations custom operating systems and chip sets and then figure out how to create a software and hardware emulator

While we simultaneously

GPS ip address Machine address code spoof the encryption time stamping to get access remotely to the safety systems

No

Just windows OS hack it I guess

There's gotta be at least an analog safety mechanism
