I tried version one after having run in SL2 for a while. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not think Supernova Rise was a slow shoe like other high stack heavier shoes like the Nimbus. It was just more comfortable than the SL2 with more cushion. Maybe they could be used together for easy recovery runs and more uptempo stuff. I hope version two did not sacrifice comfort for a little bit of speed.

I love supernova rise 1 and 2 for my daily chores. They are both my Go-tos day by day. However, supernova prima is my favorite. The gusseted tongue is a game changer.

I was able to compare these two side by side in store. I can say by squeezing it, the dreamstrike feels the same but the eva rods in Rise 2 is softer.

Good analysis. the first one was inoffensive. still have in my rotation over 200 miles. got a good deal on it. problem is, after i got the sl2, i just didn't care for it anymore. i only ran/run in it for short distances when i have to go easy day. now that i have the evo sl, i dont want to run in anything else at all.

I ran in the Supernova prima for a month. Not wide enough for my wide feet, really dull ride, rubbish grip, but hard wearing, well built, very smooth and very fast if you run smoothly in them and for me at least, not great at going uphill.

It’s the only shoe that worked for me.. it’s crazy. I tried the NB X1080 and NB V14 with the plate also the Nike Pegasus plus and they hurt my ankles Aquiles and didn’t work. The supernovas rise are so far away from cushioned or cloud or whatever they call those super crazy running shoes but I can run a 10k on my supernovas non stop at pace 12 (yes I’m a noob still) but I couldn’t do 3 miles with those other shoes without hurting and having to walk for a break from the pain. This running shoe world is crazy. Love my supernovas rise 1 and afraid to try the 2…

I just want a stripped down supernova upper on an Adizero midsole. Supernova v1 had one of the least inspiring midsoles I've experienced in recent years.

Do they still bottom out extremely fast? i bought a pair of the 1s and couldnt run more than 3km before bottoming out. i weight 70kg and never had this happen with any other shoe lmao

So the version 2 is closer to a Puma Velocity Nitro 3 then the original Rise was ?!

hard take for that title. these shoes have 33mm in the heel and 23mm in the forefoot. def not max cushion
