I think why this Descendants hits different from the original trilogy is because the original they made a found family in a hard world and found acceptance between each other. Theses girls are on their own and I my self can relate to that more.

it hurts me both for the both of them. Starting with Chloe, she’s always been the goodie, the nice, glad she had her mom with her by her side, with laughs, it hurt me when red said that bc of that, almost loosing the one that gives you happiness. Now ending with red, this was obviously not what she wanted and wants, when Chloe said she was EVIL, it gave her flashbacks bc that’s not what she wants people to think of her, but since no one gets her especially her own mother, she is just mean bc she never experienced love..no kindness…

I love that Malia Barker got a mom in this role bcuz in babysitters club hers passed away and the pain on her face after red said that reminded me of the pain on Mary Anne’s face whenever she thought of her mom
