Apple TV Plus's Ghosted is interesting to say the least, and today I tell you why. This is my Spoiler Free Ghosted (2023) Movie Review and Reaction. Did you enjoy Ghosted Movie? Cole falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie, but then makes the shocking discovery that she's a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.

Had no expectations for the movie but I thoroughly enjoyed it

I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very much a comedy, not an action movie, even if it did have some action beats. It was like a romcom with bullets. It doesn’t take itself seriously at all unless the two leads are bickering. It worked for me.

This is one of those movies. I know it is bad. I know it. And yet I still enjoyed it pretty good. The cameo fest in the middle made me laugh.

I never understand when people refer to either TV or film as a “watch in background” type. The only thing I do that with is either music or podcasts.

It was definitely pretty silly.
But…
Also sort of fun lol!
Their chemistry was up and down throughout
and they were going in and out of their relationship with each other
pretty awkwardly, so a lot of it felt forced for the plot points - and not very authentic.
But it still sort of worked for me because they were so likable.
And although the story was pretty generic and nothing we haven’t seen before
some of the action sequences they did were actually fun and exciting.
And there were also some good lines and laughs sprinkled throughout.
( along with those funny cameos!)
I would probably compare it to the underrated Tom Cruise movie - Knight and Day.
This one really reminded me of that - so anybody who enjoyed that film will probably like this.
At the end of the day, though, it was a star showcase with the two leads just doing their thing.
And it was actually fun to watch Chris Evans and Ana De Armas basically playing
themselves -
only in a big budget romantic comedy/ spy thriller!

It is the standard spy flick but I actually loved it you have the guy taking the usual female role love interest caught in the spy situation. Thos is not wokeness it is simply reversing the roles. Now i have known military women who were this badass so this is fine. I hate wokeness but this works

It was a fun movie not the typical bad ass, cold female spy protagonist that we are used to like in Atomic Blonde, Anna, Nikita, Hanna etc. No mind blowing plot twist or anything like the other ones. I believe they can do better and hope for better and bigger budget films in the future.

the chase scene was dope and rly well done but all the other action scenes felt like they run out of money
so basically only one good action scene
and oh yeah falcon, deadpool, winter soldier and cowboy bebop cameos were funny!

there were so many points in the film where they couldve added a joke, but they didnt. i think it wouldve been far better if there was actually some comedy in the film. i expected it to be a netflix-style rom com action comedy like murder mystery 2 which is hilarious. But this film took everything so seriously for no reason

In the cave scenes, my issue is that any person that is in a situation of fear, you'd expect to try and seek protection. Therefore I expected the Cole character to hide behind the Sadie character and not go into random directions and make noise. The suitcase gag was not funny AT ALL! Again, Cole is faced with the flight or flight situation, why would he bother with his suitcase? If he just kept quiet and followed her to safety I would have believed it more.

Later in the movie, Cole is a farmer, why can't he hear or notice what Sadie is noticing? Especially following that already by this point showed ingenuity.

So, I would have liked to have seen a better transition from a fish out of water to bad-ass slightly earlier even if subtle and reluctant. Seriously, that pizza delivery guy who stopped a fleeing suspect who's video is making the rounds at the moment is a good example of a subtle hero. If Cole was like this by the middle of the movie it could have been better.
