This is an Excel demonstration of the rotation of methane about any arbitrary axis. It uses the Direction Cosines matrix from Appendix 1 of Wilson, Decius, and Cross, Molecular Vibrations - The theory of infrared and Raman vibrational spectra, Dover, 1955. This video was produced for Sam Houston State University's Graduate Molecular Spectroscopy Course, taught by Dr. Darren Williams.
