I can honestly say I had a 2013 v6 with 305 horse for right at a year and traded it in for a 2010 gt premium and have never been happier that low end grunt and overall sound and feel of the 4.6l beat out the amazing 3.7l v6 variant any day plus I still get great gas mileage when cruising at interstate speeds so anyone who is in question go with the 4.6l it's a great motor if it fits your budget

Owned a 2010 Kona Blue with the Manual Trans. Manual IS A MUST HAVE. Overall enjoyed the car but suspension wise rode like a wooden wagon on rough roads. Watch for those lower control arms . Had one pop out while backing up. !!

Unfortunately, the new 4v 5.0 doesn't sound as good with it's higher pitch exhaust note. Also, some of them have been having issues with the 6 speed manual transmission which were built in China I believe. With the money you could save buying a 2010, you could throw on a supercharger or turbo & have a faster, better sounding GT. Now if the new 5.0 sounded like the 3v 4.6 & had a more reliable 6 speed manual transmission, it would be perfect IMO.

I, m glad I bought the 2010 G.T., the 4.6 has a much nicer sound then the 5.0 .

I do have this car in black! Just got it to 138 in West Texas and it was still pulling wanting to go faster. Just ran out of straight road!

I'm not sure what you mean when you say it lacks "the sheer grunt" of the other two cars The GT is Considerably quicker than the RT from 0-60 and in the quarter mile. And not that far behind the SS (about .1-.2 tenths slower from 0-60) You also said the exhaust note sounds far better on the GT than it does on both of the other two. So I think you may have caught yourself up in some contradictory statements there Steve

"None of these cars is going to wow you with their autocross abilities." Yes the 2005 and up Mustang has been very successful in SCCA stock class autocross and its times at national and divisional events aren't much slower than the RX-8, S2000, Miata, and Solstice. Also 2005 and up Mustangs have won many Pro Solo events. Sure the car is no miata, but it does do well in handling competition when you replace the stock Mud & Snow rated all season tires with soemthing more oriented to handling.

@Frankfurtxxl You are totaly right about that, there is no point to buy this car with an autotransmission. The acceleration / top speed is better with an manual. Thank you sir for your comment.

I miss these days when the Mustang was actually good and true to itself.

Steve nailed it! Mustangs DO NOT like as good as camaros and challengers.

I just love the Ford Mustang because it's faster than the Dodge Challenger.

The "pony car war" isn't much of a war, from what I can tell. The Mustang rapes the Camaro, as well as the Challenger as far as I can tell.

I still love all three of them, though. The Challenger and Camaro are simply amazing looking, and they're still fast.
