Jiraiya’s tenure as a Hokage has been fraught with tragedies. The Nine-Tails’ rampage, the war with Kumo, the Hyuga Affair, the Uchiha Uprising, Konoha Crush. Jiraiya’s nightmare come true, he is the Hokage of a Village full of so much international drama. It seems as if there is always someone out to destroy the village, and if you think it’s gonna stop at that, you’re wrong. As it stands, there are many who hope to take over the village. To destroy it. And the malevolent forces moving against Konoha can be found from the outside… and within. Once more, Jiraiya will find himself underfire as Hokage in a deep state conspiracy to have him removed. How will he weather this storm? Let’s peek in and see, shall we? But before then…

Jiraiya as Hokage would definitely be a brighter place for the Village and it's people. Beneath his perverted immaturity he was someone who valued the Leaf, even stating to Tsunade that he'd kill her if she ever betrayed and her actions led to suffering.

So did Jiraiya tell everyone that the other Uchiha were under Danzo's genjutsu to preserve the clan's legacy? How did he have Fugaku's legacy left?

Did enough of Root die fighting Uchiha that Danzo just didn't have enough protection?

I doubt Danzo ever had a chance to come out alive, but I'm whondering how much damage he'd do as a he went down, since you kinda just summarized that aspect.
