It can replace your Desktop PC | Beelink GTi12 Ultra review

Today I will share my experience with a new mini PC with the unique idea of connecting a video card using the EX Docking Station. But I will also compare it in terms of performance with a desktop PC in about the same price range. We'll connect the RTX 2060 and RTX 4070 Super and talk a little bit about bandwidth theory.

I love this concept, I personally am just waiting until they can get all PCIe lanes available on it before I invest in a mini PC and dock solution

Nice review. This is the first review that is making me have second thoughts with this setup. The windows not working properly and having to trouble shoot it out the box isn't something I'm looking forward too along with the questionable wifi performance. Is it possible that you got a difficile model. This is the only review that I see mention the windows 11 not working. If it's standard that windows 11 has to be setup on all pcs then I'm gonna pass. I want it to be plug and play

Sometimes I think I get too carried away and start talking about unnecessary things like drivers. But that's part of the user experience, right?

It seems it looses more performance than oculink despite the bigger bandwidth, was that your experience? Also, do you recommend to pair this with a 4080 or 90 with the 12 pin adapter?

Manufacturers need to include a tiny thumb drive with drivers. They used to include CDs, then people started thinking Windows would automatically find drivers for you. The sorry truth is we're still hunting for drivers in 2024.


And how is it possible to have a windows install that prevents the installing of microsoft redistributables ?
