Positive Peace and Pandemics

Rotary and the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) engage in strategic training and education around the concepts of Positive Peace including the Rotary Positive Peace Academy.

While the COVID-19 pandemic is primarily a health crisis, this “shock” to our global system gives us an interesting opportunity to see how the Pillars of Positive Peace impact both the severity and response to the crisis at the community, national and global level.

Join Rebecca Crall (Rotary Area of Focus Manager for Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention), Summer Lewis (Rotary-IEP Partnership Coordinator), and Laurie Smolenski (IEP Outreach and Development Officer) for a virtual presentation and discussion on how Positive Peace relates to the current crisis and what can be done in the future to improve capacity to absorb and bounce back from shock.
