The holiday season can be a huge energy drain, and for many people (like me) the holidays can really affect our mood. We caught up with Kati Morton, licensed therapist and YouTube mental health star, to talk tips for how to beat the holiday blues and combat Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Particularly if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, the combination of holiday commitments, and winter weather may leave you with symptoms such as lowered mood, reduced energy, and feeling the need for sleep. Severe changes can manifest as a type of depression called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), caused by changes to the levels of melatonin and serotonin in our brain.
But SAD is treatable! Bright Light Therapy - in the form of a light box - is a natural and non-invasive treatment that's easy to do. You just need 30 minutes a day - and Kati gave us some tips for how to fit Light Therapy into our busy day.
