A boy catches a fish from the river and offers it to an eagle, but the eagle ignores it. Suddenly, the fish jumps back into the water. The boy then shows the eagle a dead mouse, but it doesn’t eat that either.

Determined, the boy tries to train the weak eagle to fly. He releases it from his roof, but it only flies a short distance before falling. Realizing it needs more training, he takes the eagle to the mountains. Day by day, the eagle grows stronger. One day, as the boy encourages it, the eagle suddenly spreads its wings and soars into the sky. The boy chases after it, calling out, but the eagle keeps flying higher.

Over time, the eagle grows big and powerful, hunting animals larger than itself. One day, the boy captures his eagle using bait, making his father proud. Finally, he takes the eagle to the mountain peak, where it now wears a golden ring on its foot.
