Ideas for making the game even worse:
1. Unusual controls. For example, use GCVB to move the character instead of using WASD
2.Making a level that requires using new game mechanics without any tutorial at all
3. Add annoying background music that loops forever
4. Add a fake multiplayer gamemode that does nothing
5. Sudden drop of frame rate for no reason
6. Random pop-up ads
7. Rick roll the players

There are a few obvious omissions which could have made your game a lot worse.

* Story: a terrible, unskippable story is always worse than no story.
* Death: overly drawn-out unskippable death sequences with audio that genuinely hurts to listen to is always worse than a simple 'restart the level'
* Loading screens: overly long, slow loading screens are a surefire way to ensure player frustration (especially if it's a fake loading screen which takes an inconsistent length of time and the progress bar (if present) is entirely inaccurate)
* Visuals: needs to clash more. Needs a mishmash of premade assets and garish poorly drawn assets. Simple squares run the risk of looking tasteful.
* Controls: randomly rebind them during gameplay, without the player having any clue about what button they now need to press.
* Viewport scrolling: don't scroll with the player. Either don't scroll it at all, or scroll it such that it's rather delayed (player already offscreen) before overshooting (too far forward), or scroll it at random intervals, or keep constantly shaking it in random directions during gameplay to give the player motion sickness.
* Closing the game: no escape button. The only escape the player has is by forcibly closing the game via task manager.
* Audio (in general): needs to be incredibly obnoxious. Fingers scraping down blackboard accompanied by a choir of screaming babies. volume fluctuating randomly between very very quiet and incredibly loud. If you can handle more than 2 seconds of the audio, it's not bad enough. And don't forget obnoxious sound effects for everything in the level.
* The Coins: okay so have you ever seen Sheriff Domestic? If yes, you can probably guess what I'm about to suggest. If not: pause the game, have an obnoxious 'you got a coin' fanfare thing appear, and then resume the game after the player sits through that (and doing it all over again for the next coin!)

you failed! why? you made the enemy red! thats too good game design!! you should take inspiration from this one flash game i played a while ago, where you were skydiving and had to dodge things. what did you have to dodge? planes? birds? no! clouds of course! there was literally zero visual indicator that would make your brain think thats what youre supposed to do. amazingly terrible game design.

This is not a "bad game", it's just a troll game like Kaizo Mario tbh.

A bad game should be consistent with its features but frustrating. I even can imagine The Last Of Us to be more frustrating than your game if the Devs would've just cut the entire game in the middle of the story, or if Tetris had blocks that do not fit, or a Simulation Game that starts with everything unlocked but you lose progress with every levelup, or just beeing super slow in a shooter.

I love how when you're walking, you're on the extreme side of the screen where you want to go, making it impossible to know what's next, and only makes you see the parts you already passed through, which is useless. Very bad game 10/10.

This is no where near terrible enough. Every part of this game could be made worse.
Movement: Have noticeable 1 second delay between giving an input and it being acted on. Have small platforms that require precise controls, yet your player character is really slippery on top of them sometimes just not moving.

Story:What's worse than no story? Having a story with wasted potential. Make an opening cutscene with a really cool story premise. Then never deliver on it. Or recon it in the most disappointing way possible once you beat the first level like that entire starting sequence was just a dream and now your going to school, then just stop having a story. Make sure the opening with significantly better graphics than the rest of the game, unskippable, and with a really slow text speed, with walls of text.

Graphics: There's one major problem with your graphics. They aren't painful to look at. Make the graphics visually painful to look at. Be sure to have a bunch of background elements than blend in with the middle ground elements so you can't tell what's what. Make sure the player and enemies blend in with the background. If you aren't making Top Banana look like a masterpiece, your graphics aren't bad enough yet.

Level design: Here's one neat trick to make terrible level design, don't. Start with a minute long walk on a plane of nothing, and make a really difficult and precise platforming section at the end. But other than that just make whatever seems cool at the time, and don't playtest or think too hard about it. In fact just add in a bunch of mechanics and never playtest them. If the game doesn't crash your good.

Other: When you die have a long death jingle followed by it kicking you back to the menu screen. Where you have to watch the opening cutscene again. Have really long loading times for no reason. Make the music a loop of a sirren, then have an enemy that you have to listen for to dodge. Have all the sounds in the first level way louder than anything else in the game.

Gravity is for good games. The jump should make you go up at a steady rate then fall at the same rate. Ever played a scratch platformer? Things can get a lot worse.

You should make a game with too many controls like breathing and making your heart beat to survive.
Edit: you should also add a feature where you can randomly die of a brain aneurysm

You should have added a sound option that didnt work, and a graphics option that would make the screen 10 different color blocks, optimize the game horribly, and have some of the coins reset the coin count, also you have to pay 15 cents for 10 seconds of game play

Also, in order to make the game worse, just make the graphics worse! So bad that you can barely tell what is what. Also, have a weapon that doesn’t do anything at all! Have unavoidable hazards, deceptive enemies, unpredictable weapons, delayed controls, crappy color schemes that look like vomit and crap, as well as levels that are repeats of other levels. Have more levels because the more levels, the worse that it gets.

A few suggestions to make it even worse:

Make it so that the jump height and speed changes randomly occasionally

Make a terrible annoying five second music loop throughout the entire thing

have the very rare audio sometimes glitch out too in a multitude of ways like loudness, compression, etc

Give the background and ground graphics worse quality by compressing them too

Make the main characters arms and eyes misaligned with each other by just a few pixels, and well as the options on the main menu

Use completely different terrible fonts for the main menu too

And just have the player die randomly at times for no other reason
