Halloween Ends fans need to stick together! One of the best Halloween movies

Your opinion is fair on the Universal Monster. Its my favorite franchise over any other horror or slasher, aside from Final Destination. But its big part of relevancy for the horror fandom is mainly the aesthetic they give, sort of like what early Disney did. But Im the first one to say they're boring to the mainstream audience. The remake of the Mummy was successful during the y2k era because it was able to adapt an old story to fit the time in pop culture. Also, fun fact about actor Chris Pine. His grandmother, Anne Gwyne, was an actress in the classic Universal horror era.

Oh, I TOTALLY get it about the quality of the image and technical stuff like that.

I agree. I like my horror films to end with at least one final girl and the perpetrators ousted. So, I disliked Eden Lake, but I enjoyed the last Wrong Turn, Malignant, Texas Chainsaw, and the Saw franchises, The Devil Candy. Any recommendations would be much appreciated

I understand why Halloween Ends gets hated on, I just don't agree with it.

Idk if it's really an unpopular opinion necessarily, but I think modern horror audiences really get or appreciate genuine camp. Or at least modern camp.

dude I am with you on Halloween Ends I think it's way over hated, prob in my top 5 in the franchise! Idk if The Nun take is an unpopular opinion but I agree, and I think Valak was frightening in The Conjuring 2 and she should have ended there, or maybe made a subtle appearance in another film. ALSO sorry to just be an echo chamber but I hate the blu ray blue design too lmao especially if that blue doesn't go with the color scheme of the movie it just looks sooo goofy

Tbh, the only original Universal Monster movie I liked is Lugosi's Dracula.
And hey, you love it - stick to it. My fav is H2, nobody agrees with me either, but I can explain my position on this, and that's enough.

100% with the universal monsters from the 1930-1960s. The only one I enjoyed was Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder and it’s not even a horror. Can’t get on board with the Halloween Ends take but I can see why, the first one of the newest trilogy is my #1 of the entire franchise.

Also love your reviews! Cheers!

I like Halloween ends even more in retrospect with Jamie lee Curtis exposing herself for being a terrible, evil person 🤧
