I’m suddenly realizing Uruguay is much further from the equator than I thought. All these winter coats and vests. Clearly not Ecuador or Rio, haha. But still lots of palm trees?

The entire Uruguay has less people than the metro area of Porto Alegre, the southernmost Brazilian state capital.

AND it has 2 World Cups and it's always producing world class players.

There is no doubt, Uruguay is the best country in the world in football, per capita. Followed by Croatia and Netherlands, but still ahead of those.

Montevideo tiene mucho potencial, pero actualmente gran parte de la ciudad luce abandonada. El estado deberia invertir fuertemente en recuperar fachadas de construcciones, pistas, veredas y plazas.
