One of the greatest sea mysteries taking into account that the Mary Celeste is not the only ship that loses its tripulation, only animals like parrots or dogs are left behind.

If anyone is interested I think the best theory is that a keg of alcohol (not drinking kind) spilled in the hull and because of the heat it started to turn to vapour and to escape the fumes they took a life boat and tied it to the back of the ship and wait until most of the fumes escaped but the rope snapped and the ship sailed off on its own . That's all I can remember of the theory and I'm probably miss remembering some of it but you get the general idea of what happened

My dad was a merchant mariner from 1946 to 1961 he would tell us boys when we were little in the early 70s that he would be steering the ship 🚢⚓ at night and the captain of the ship 🚢 told him this story.

Until this day none of them have been found??? I'm pretty sure it being over 150 years later, a body from 1872 isn't just popping up and being discovered

I think I was watching unsolved mysteries when I heard an interesting theory. There may have been fumes from below deck. The captain thought it might be wise to try to let the ship air out a lil bit, you know what I mean? They may have opened a few hatches. Then the crew boarded a lifeboat. The lifeboat was tied with a length of rope but it detached from the ship and the crew was left out at sea. I think that could have happened 🤷

There was a story a long time ago about this that claimed that the entire crew had gathered on a loading platform to watch a swimming race between two of the crew who were to race around the ship, the platform was to heavily loaded and collapsed plunging everyone on board into the ocean, where they drowned after being unable to climb back aboard, the only damage found on the ship was the remains of the platform hanging off the side.

She was carrying a cargo of Very toxic alcohol, it started leaking and they abandoned Ship, most likely they were lost at sea.

Did you know scientists have explored like 97% of space and only 10% of the ocean so Sea monster's could still exist

The fact that to this day, we still have no idea what goes on in the ocean and people can just disappear for months or even die on a boat and never be discovered is super creepy

She really understands hyper mysterious subjects, the Mary Celeste is a mysterious ship that makes me interested in the marine world even to this day this fact bothers me where is the crew? I hope they don't kill themselves and again the cargo load is intact adding to the horror of this world's popular ship, the sea is indeed scarier than outer space😮

Ok, there’s a lot more. Here are all possible theories:
-there was bad weather, so they could have gotten into the lifeboats, not likely though.
-they got attacked by unknown people. Some blood stains and a sword were found near the deck.
-a giant octopus dragged them down. I know, sounds dumb, but they existed.
-food insanity killed them. There was some bread found on the ship, but they were all moldy.
-barrels exploded.
