It never ceases to amaze me just how these sociopaths can out and out lie and never give it a second thought; they care only about their own grasp on power, deluded into believing they'd be in charge forever.

The boy scouts speech was one of the 5 million things my brain had erased. TFG. 🤦🤦🤦

Famously: We do not negotiate with terrorists.
Trump: Taliban are great negotiators.

Wow.

There was always this nagging anxiety when Trump was in office that he’d wake up cranky at 3:00 and declare war on China via Tweet.

Hey now, it definitely wasn't "crisis after crisis" with Trump! It was an initial crisis and then other crises just kept piling on, there was no breaks in the crises.

The only reason you could say that Trump didn't have "crisis after crisis" was that under Trump, the crises came non-stop, with no gap between them. It was one 4 year long crisis.

No matter what the “good folks” in Washington DC said, did anyone really ever imagine we were in anyway accomplishing anything but diverting billions of dollars to defense contractors? Really?

Republicans in D.C.: if we were in charge right now, we would do things in Afghanistan so much better.

Citizens of the U.S.: you WERE in charge for 12 of the last 20 years, what were you waiting for?

I kinda agree with Kaleidoscope McDonald’s in that it didn’t feel like crisis after crisis. It was more like one long crisis and every time you think you wake up from the endless nightmare it’s just another layer of nightmare.

As a Vietnam Veteran I had occasion recently to meet and speak with a Marine veteran who had served in Afghanistan. When I went to that war, 52 years ago, this Marine veteran hadn't even been born yet. I acknowledge the many differences between "my" war and his, but as we spoke I saw in his eyes and heard in his voice the same "WTF were we doing there?" that I experienced - and experience to this day. I passed on to him the same counsel that I got from my Stateside commander after I returned home full of anger and nightmares: "You cannot change what you saw, you cannot change what happened to you or your buddies. You cannot change what you did or what your country did to you or to them. Those things are forever. The only thing you can change is - - you." I still live with my memories to this day of the buddies I lost and the horrors I witnessed. But I have accepted my past and and I have built a life. I found peace; I hope he does as well. I hope our country can do the same.

To be fair, you can't have "crisis after crisis" when your administration is just one long, unending crisis.

Well, to be fair, she did just finish the Alternative Facts Masterclass with KellyAnne Conway.

Picture, for one second, what would happen if Obama complimented the Taliban in even the most oblique fashion

I met Seth Myers once after a screening. He’s a really funny and nice guy. I still love his content. I’m glad to see he is going strong after the SNL days.

"You kids wanna see what happens when you sing to the Feds?" That's what I love about this show. It's educational.

Military contractors are all sitting in their million-dollar mansions laughing all the way to the bank.

“Ghouls” is the word John Oliver used to describe Bolton and Rumsfeld, also.

It wasn't crisis after crisis, it was crises within crises.
