I like how he's touching the flowers in the field while walking through it, like that famous Maximus scene in Gladiator. Gosh, we need more movies like that. It wasnt historically accurate, but it was still awesome.

I dont know how, but they managed to make the desert very nice and beautiful to ride through. I have loved the whole Ancient trilogy, but I liked the world in Origins the most

What really makes this world come alive is how npc's behave. They dont just stand there or walk around in a standard patrol. They engage in all sorts of activities with a lot of different animations. I really stopped and looked at this stone quarry where almost the entire production process is simulated and all the npc's convincingly engage with all sorts of machinery, items and the enviroment. Or this theatre company reenacting all sorts of scenes. How the people behave makes such a difference.

Wow, that looks so incredibly amazing! The first games I played were on a an MSX and C64 back in the mid eighties. Truly incredible how far we have come. It's almost scary to think about where we will in another 30-40 years.

this game to me has a much better atmosphere and visual coherence than the two games that followed.
i enjoyed playing through this game but i had massive problems getting into odyssey and valhalla. something there put me off massively.
you can tell that this game was developed much more carefully when they took a break after AC Syndicate.

There are several reasons why this became my all time favorite game in the AC franchise, the world is a big part of it, since the very first game I loved exploring the worlds and getting into the atmosphere. But this game was such an absolute journey across nearly a year! And I relished every moment of it.

Odyssey and Valhalla had areas that looked exactly the same. Origins had a diverse world. Desserts, cities, pyramids, temples, green areas, Greek areas, so many more

Considering the textures resolution has a resolution of 2048x2048, increasing the screen resolution doesn't change much. A good and calibrated monitor makes good results.
