Hey can you please link to the video you mentioned about maybe gesso-ing clayboard or prepping it for oils? Looking to experiment with the ones I have so I'm just curious if there is a step before gesso-ing these besides sanding. Thanks!

Is the clay on a Claybord simply kaolin, or is it a kaolin formulation containing additonal ingredients?

H E L P ... Anyone - I do graphite portraits. If I draw on claybord, do I need to prepare the surface in any way? What do I do when finished? Do you recommend any kind of varnish or fixative? I want to try this asap please. .... OR is there a better Ampersand Bord for graphite?
