Larkspur Line Train Store Haul - Locomotives, buildings & more!

I've been meaning to share my haul from my last visit to larkspur line train store for a couple days now so here it is. This has to have been one of the best hauls from the store as they had a really good selection of different things including locomotives, buildings and a bunch of other miscellaneous items. One of the best things I walked away with was a Rivarossi Dreyfuss Hudson.

A Hiawatha, the blue goose, and now a Dreyfuss Hudson. Sooner or later, you’re going to have all the streamlined passenger legends! Cant wait to see this New York Central beauty be brought back to life by the Dr. Frankenstein of model trains himself.

The very first thing I would do is fix the cab overhang on that Hudson! You don't want to break off that piece entirely!

This has to be the best Ho train haul especially with that Sharp looking Hudson!!

I think you got a fair deal with the Rivarossi set. Those cars could sell as high as $40-50 each. So if you got 4 cars for $100 that's $25 a car which isn't to bad. I know because I've been purchasing budd stainless steel cars so that I could build my own HO scale replica of the "Canadian" and the lowest I could find was $20 per car. I now have all the cars for the exception of the Park Car (Observation car) and Chateau car (Sleeper Car) I do have the Manor sleeper car thought. Repainting isn't to hard also.

Your Dreyfuss is a red box model. Those have a can motor and an actual gearbox in them. I’ve found that all the red box models I’ve owned start up most of the time. Check the gears for dried lubricant as that is a common issue.

Sweet I'm glad you got that Rivarrossi NYC locomotive and cars thats awesome. Nice lot you got there I knew you had to have gotten that rivarossi and other stuff. Very nice. Yeah labelle is more expensive where i get that synthetic oil on ebay more ounces for lesser cost how I look at it.
