I have had a Jansport daypack since I was 16 and beat the hell out of it. I'm 38 now and still use it all the time. Over the years companies went with mesh for everything and lower weight materials that don't last. For $100 I have a pack that's held up for going over 22 years now.

The GR2 is a BEAST! You should try and find one of the "Shooter" editions...pretty cool and unique for your purposes. I did a review of my 34L shooter which is very similar to the Huckberry slick...with some very different changes. Nice rundown of this version from Huckberry...the slick editions are aways a nice change of pace and more stealthy for the less tactical looking use case. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good to see a quality non-tactical looking pack. Love the fact that you actually used the product and gave it a good working over as part of the review. Much more informative than just opening a packaging and making generic comments. The thing that caught my eye with this pack is that while there is good organisation it's not over-organised. Some packs have too many pokey pockets etc. that end up lacking flexibility. Cost does hurt but that's a matter for individuals. Have a good day all.

Uh oh, getting into the big ticket bags now. I love Go Ruck, especially the Heritage collection for edc. If you're looking for travel bags the Peak Designs x Huckberry bag is a good one. You have to learn to pack minimally though. You'll love Huckberrys merino and travel clothes as well!

My GoRuck GR1 has been all over the planet. Greatest backpacks on earth bar none.

GoRuck’s are just bulletproof. Expensive, but well worth it. I have the 26l version.

I own a GR3, which is larger than the GR2, and I love it for travel.

$250 buck is my max limit to spend on a backpack. There are plenty of equally good packs at that price point

I've had some really bad backpack's through the years. The more expensive ones like this are worth the investment.

For those that can't afford this pack, save your money and in time you can get one. EBay is also an option and other pack's similar to this are available on the bay too.

I had the Rucker, and loved the grey color but it was just too heavy and over-engineered for something that was around 20l. The shape wasn't the best for my use either, and the front pocket could have had a gusset to make it more useful. I like having a side sleeve for a water bottle or even a tripod, but I don't think I'd buy once now since the gr2 is around $500 in CAD.

I like GoRuck but wow that's a huge price tag for that pack. Have you considered doing Spec Ops brand T.H.E pack edc pack for a review? It's a good USA made alternative.

Love the look and idea of goruck bags but haven’t been able to pull the trigger on one yet due to the price

Rucksacks are crazy overpriced. I just don't see the value compared to other high end packs. I buy American made and support vet. owned businesses but at this price point I expect more. This feels more like $200 pack (a USA made Fjallraven - or similar) than a $400+ pack.

I couldn’t carry a big bag without a hip belt, the weight on my shoulders is too much. Can you do an episode of ghb/ bob bags for smaller built folks, maby people with physical weakness. That’s would be interesting.
