Ravi Kanbur, Professor of Economics at Cornell University, discusses the conventional as well as the less conventional questions regarding inclusive growth.

Concerning the conventional issues he talks about the growth elasticity of poverty reduction as well as the causal impact of inequality on growth.

Professor Kanbur then presents his take on the less conventional issues by describing different dimensions of inequality in the African context, where we find, due to heterogeneity, distinctions between groups rather than individuals, or between rural and urban areas.
