I have two of them. Broke both tire holders. Broke one steering wheel column. Mirror came off. Air intake filter broke. Still love them. These were a major purchase for me. The kids still ask if it's jeep driving time. Plus they get up and go.

Castle nuts are typically not meant to be gorilla tightened (torqued on), the cotter (split) pin holds them in place. And there is a reason why it is not necessarily a bad thing that those sprocket bolts sheared off, it is a kind of failsafe like shear pins on tractor PTO attachments.

I’ve been looking at buying one for a while, your review just convinced me. Lots of valuable info and I appreciate it.

A nice touch that lets you drive it on the street legally is the addition of the "SLOW MOVING VEHICLE ORANGE I have one on my hoveround mobility chair! ... so I don't need to travel on the bumpy rail road tracks you call the side walks! .... A cop stopped me once and told me to get on the side walk! I said to him I am legal to travel on the streets just like a farm tractor! .... he looked it up and said your good to go but try not to get hit.

The jeep works wonderful do to the fact that you keep up with the maintenance, that's something that everyone harldy ever do.. is the same thing with a car that you drive everyday. " maintenance "

Keep your head up. Most people give making content up after the first year

It’s like any other machine. If you take care of it and do required maintenance, you’ll keep it running.but it does sound like the maintenance requirements are comparable to an early 70’s Harley

Yeah, I got no problem subscribing. I see you had one of these for a year. There was a company that made kits for a similar vehicle. I finally got some money and they quit making the kits. I wanted to see what you got. Think will try saving some for one.

good info! thanks for giving your insight on this. I'm seriously thinking of getting one! If i got one i would make it electric. I'll put a 5000 watt motor, not geared, with a lithium pack. I would keep the speed low and torque super high. Cant risk getting thrown off the jeep at high speed. I would try to reinforce the areas you pointed out. Your 541 miles is a durability test and you've noted the weakest components.

Hey Cody, I'm behind you. I subscribe just like you asked. So far this is the only video I've seen of yours but I like what I see. Keep em coming.

You normally put an idler/tensioner on the idle side of the chain. In this case, that’s the bottom of the chain, not the top.
