Vivo definitely had the win for me overall, no question. Interesting how much we have tended to come to value and adjudicate HDR, when it often sucks all the life and character from shots. It might better resolve and expose detail in shadows, but for my eye it often actually harms the end product and I've become more selective about using HDR these days.

finally people in EU starting too understand that Iphone, Samsung amd Pixel are not the best phones. There are other players who can beat them almost in every aspect.

Vivo wins in ALMOST all areas. Video, image stabilizer, low light, front camera, zoom camera and the details of normal photos. You can just see that the sensor is larger than in the other smartphones, because the details in dark areas are SIGNIFICANTLY better. The S22 Ultra also takes very good photos, but they always look relatively dark, even during the day, and many areas are so dark that you can't see anything there, but you can see this spot perfectly on the Vivo. Only in portrait mode is the S22 Ultra a fair bit better when you get close to objects because it looks much sharper than the Vivo. I also like the colors of the Vivo the best. While the iPhone takes sharp pictures, the dark areas are even worse than the S22U and the colors are just totally weird and unnatural. But it always depends on the picture, just because you take a picture with all smartphones at the same time does not mean that all smartphones had the same conditions, if the angle is slightly different and therefore maybe the focus or the object wobbles in the short time between the photos. That's why one smartphone is a little better than the other or the focus isn't quite as good on one. But overall, I think the Vivo X90 Pro+ has the best camera of the three, but it's also newer and has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. There's also likely some software tweaking to be done as well. I'm excited about the S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Xiaomi 13 Pro probably won't be able to match the Vivo except for the main camera, but the S23U will be very interesting as it doesn't have the Sony IMX 989 sensor but a new 200mp sensor from Samsung, maybe the HP3? But I can hardly imagine that they use this sensor, because the predecessor (HP1) is in the Xiaomi 12T Pro and it takes good pictures and belongs to the upper class, but not high end and I can't imagine that either they can outperform the S22U with this sensor, but we'll see.

I'm impressed by the dynamic range in Vivo's movies. It gets a lot of detail both in the sunny areas and in the shade.
On the selfies, Galaxy was giving jaundice and the iPhone was making you a zombie.

I feel the Vivo was the overall winner here! And gave an amazing performance when it comes to HDR and the low light footage 👌👌. They just need to improve that sound quality.

S22 ultra was released in February 2022, Iphone 14 pro max in July 2022 and X90 Pro+ has not been on the market for a month and manages to compete and surpass excellent smartphones. When it has 6 months of updates it should be an unbeatable cell phone. Thank you very much for the great review!

I got the vivo x90 pro and fotowise its blowing away any competition. Batterylife is amazing too. Only downgrade to my s22u so far is, that you can't use the other sensors while filming in 60fps. The x10 is better at night in the s22u too.
