Doom metal masterpiece, the entire album. Do these guys share the same sound as Candlemass? Sure, maybe a bit. I also hear some Mercyful Fate in there too. Plain and simple, this album has all the qualities of an awesome metal album. Flawless victory. Period.

I guess signing with Metal Blade has its downside also. You get exposed to people who know nothing about heavy metal in general and think they have some kind of say on the matter. Candlemass ripoff? Well, I've been a Candlemass fan for ages but Leif Edling has changed the band's style to fit the contemporary doom scene these past few years and become more popular. However, some of us still miss the old EPIC stuff. Plus that epic stuff was not original to begin with, most of them were Black Sabbath riffage sprinkled with traditional Scandinavian lullabies and songs. Below understand that and deliver the goods where today's Candlemass cannot. Period. If someone can't handle this style of Swedish Epic Doom, they are welcome to find a really steep mountain and take a dive head down and spare us the dumbass comments in the process. Doom on guys!
