Yup the front kick at 8:48 did it as it landed on the elbow. You can also see it already broken when he throws the left hand which may explain how he just blatantly misses a left hand when Dustin didn’t move an inch

You gotta wonder what the heck people are smoking in the comments. This wasn't a competitive round at all, and this was only R1, it was only getting worse for Conor.

It was an even round. Judges gave a 10-8 because they felt it was a knockdown at the end. I thought so too when I saw the fight. Other than that, I think overall Conor outlanded Dustin with kicks, some jabs, an uppercut and elbows on the ground. Not to forget the upkick also. Dustin escaped the guillotine by grabbing the fence with his toes.

But still Dustin was on top for a large part of the round and dealt a great deal of damage with elbows and crosses. You can see the swelling under Conor’s left eye and his ear was fucked up. Conor also cheated by grabbing Dustin’s gloves.

In my opinion, Herb Dean should have asked them to stand up when Dustin grabbed the fence and given a stern warning to Conor for grabbing gloves.

Either way 10-9 to Dustin

There should be a rematch.

on ground Dustins Manny of the punches didn't connect so how's that 10-8 round...it wasn't bad round for conor atleast..he kicked 15 or something and some good hands..while on ground he attack' with that elbows well i think..it was good round for conor and Dustin both..but 10-8 round nahh

When i saw Dustin, i knew he woud win in 2nd and 3rd fight. Just look Dustin size!! He was bigger than Conor. Looked around 5 to 7 kg heavier. And all the punches didn't make any damages. The same happen in the 2nd fight. The 1st fight, both fought in featherweight I think and Dustin wasn't as big as now.

not gonna lie this isn't as dominant from dustin as I remember. Dustin grabbed the cage with his toes to escape the guillotine once it was taken to the ground and conor grabbed dustins gloves to get out of shots and get up, so both cheated. Plus, on the feet, Dustin landed more punches, but Conor landed more kicks. Dustin obviously did more damage with ground and pound but I think like at least 1/3 of them missed and Conor landed elbows and upkicks. I think this was a pretty competitive round.
