El Niño | Zimbabwe's drought crisis is worsening

Показать описание
Zimbabwe is currently experiencing an intense El Niño-induced drought that has caused above-average temperatures and below-average rainfall. In most regions of the country, insufficient rainfall has caused agricultural failure, with over 60% of the harvest being written off. Water scarcity, poor diets, increased levels of malnutrition in children, growing household poverty and other vulnerabilities are just some of the everyday realities faced by many, especially in rural Zimbabwe.

You must see how they waste water in South Africa. Not surprising. They wash dishes under running water, go away from the sink, have a long conversation with someone, while the tap is running full force, no plug in the basin. They WASTE, & if you explain to them how to use water sparingly, they get offended and carry on wasting. They got what they deserved

It's not so much about it worsening, people just thought it was an ordinary drought. This is actually a marathon drought which will be around for over 5 years
