Semi-Agree I LOVE the original Robotech show but i hate how they ret-conned alot of the story with the shadow Chronicles and over wrote the novels. There is still plenty to wright about if they made movies about Rick Hunter during the 2nd war essentially a new movie about the sentinels. I wanted to see what happened with Jack Baker the apparently soon to be Ace in the Sentinels where is his story?

True, they are just milking the show by putting familiar characters into story that isn't all that intriguing. At least for me. I love Robotech, it is my precious childhood memory but now it cannot compete to the original and it's sequels in terms of pretty much everything. They could never make this as big as Macross Frontier for example...

I wondered that myself. Its there, they wrote a whole book series on it. I guess someone just wanted their name on it.

The problem is it over wrote alot of what was established in the Novels and Carl Maceks original story he wrote for The Sentinels. Also it re wrote the last episode of the Next Generation. And I may like the 3rd Robotech war more than the 1st (Macross) I liked the desperateness of the their guerrilla warfare.

I've done some correspondence with her and know she's a huge fan. she was probably star struck. lol but i think she did a good job nonetheless.

it not all old animation. if look run times and off nothing else robotech love live alive has 44 percent new animation than Genesis Climber Mospeada: Love Live Alive . it is unknown how much of the old animation is used.

I disagree if on the Genesis Climber MOSPEADA side of story line plenty of opening ends. how ever do not like the new gen then not going to like any robotech sequels. For me I started form the shadow chronicles and work my way backwards.

I suppose it just be a slip of the tongue but...She just doesn't seem very genuine.. It seems like she is more interested in smiling for the camera then interviewing TY or bringing us anything worthwhile.

New Robotech stuff is just glorified fan-fiction. The original was a great show, but it was mainly a vehicle to bring the 36 episode Macross series to the U.S. when syndication required a minimum of 65 episodes. There really isn't more story to tell so they should just let it go at this point.

'Near future speculative science fiction"...wow such a big title for recycled animation that is about 25 years too late to be revealed as "new" material. Pathetic.
