October 21st, 2016 -- Here is the "tank update" video that I promised you guys. Hah. In this video, I talk a little bit about the conditions of the tank and why I haven't been able to bring you this video at an earlier time.

Lots of people mentioned under one of my videos that this tank was a "time bomb." I really don't get why they are so negative nowadays. For your information: NO FISH died since they were put into the tank. There was a little bit of mouth fungus in 2 of the fishes in there, and they healed on their own. So, as you can see, the tank is not doing awesome, but it is certainly not a failure.

It saddens me to leave the tank as it is; however, as I have explained in this vid, my old neighborhood is really too dangerous nowadays. Therefore, I am planning on either transporting this tank from the previous place to the new place or just starting a new tank from scratch. Please make sure to participate in the poll (in the cards), so I can decided on what to do with it. Ultimately, I do want to have an AMAZING and HEALTHY tank with plenty of plants and fish. Maybe even do a small aquaponics farming system. We will see!

I am so glad that I found your channel. I grew up in New Britain, PA, from 1963 to 1972 and then moved to Doylestown and my dad bought a property with 17 acres, through which, Pine creek ran right through, behind our house. So, I spent 15 years of my young life fishing in Pine creek. Blue Gill, Large Mouth bass, Catfish, Carp, even caught a huge snapper turtle once. I could spend days telling stories of my fishing adventures, literally living just feet away from Pine (Run) Creek.
Thank you so much for your very informative and entertaining videos!!

Boring for you but please realize that there are people like me. I am 69 years old disabled and sick. I have 15 or 16 aquariums a few small ones 1 5 gal. a couple of 10 gal the rest are all 20 to 40 gal some of them breeder tanks.I built really nice cabinets for all of them to house the supplies and filters in so they weren't visible. I have all kinds of filters tank decorations, substrate, etc you name it but no fish as I reached the point I could no longer take care of them I mostly had native species of Sunfish including a large Bluegill that ate from my hand and several Bass. Alas no more. You can't know how much pleasure I get from all of your videos. They almost make up for the fact that I can no longer have my own fish. Sincerely
Philip

If you wanted you could transport it to your new place by emptying out a large amount of water, and putting in an airator in. Then put the filter medium in some water- Ive heard of many people transporting big tanks this way, and you wouldnt disturb the nitrogen cycle.

Not boring at all. The trick is to have personality and passion. And you have them both. God bless!

The two smaller plants are Anubias. If you can, try to tie the thick root filled stems (the rhizome) to a rock, driftwood, or any decorations you have. Unfortunately if you keep the Anubias's rhizome under the substrate, it will slowly rot overtime. I thought this would just be a quick tip so you can have a little more success with live plants.

Cool video Leo, hopefully everything goes well with the tank, you and your wife, and the safety of the neighborhood.

I agree, most videos like this are boring. What makes this one entertaining is that it is a 'part 2' of the first video when you caught wild fish. Interesting watching the wild fish feed especially on the different pellets and worms. I enjoyed it!

I've been doing this for years. My kids think it's great fun. I have a 50 gallon tank and I also add wild caught snails and crayfish. The crayfish occasionally get eaten and need to be replaced. My favorite fish in the tank is a bulkhead @4 inches long. I've had a bluegill last for years! The only problem is that my fish will only eat live food. I've got a second smaller tank that I keep stocked with guppies. My kids also dig up earthworms and catch crickets and grasshoppers and throw them in. The occasional tadpoles make great food also. It's a pretty fun hobby in my opinion.

Leo you should release them and restart at your new place.

Hey Leo if it's to personal I understand but it would be fun to see a new house tour :) ps I think a pumpkin seed would look awesome in the tank if that's possible.

Nice! You can learn a great deal about fish behavior from aquarium viewing. 👍

Maybe some rock bass if you can't have larger or small mouth. I had tiny baby bulkheads in my tank about 10 years ago
