CAN I BEAT A POKÉMON FIRERED HARDCORE NUZLOCKE!? (Pokémon Challenge)

We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but with a full team using hardcore nuzlocke rules? Today we find out: can I beat a Pokemon FireRed Hardcore Nuzlocke?

I haven't done a Pokemon challenge video / playthrough / or Pokemon Nuzlocke in a while but was inspired by Jaiden Animations' nuzlocke to try one out again, so I hope you enjoy! We're going to be doing more hard pokemon challenges and even more difficult pokemon challenges on the channel, so make sure to Subscribe!

Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only the first Pokémon encountered in each Route/Area can be caught.
(3) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(4) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokemon can be caught/used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique Pokémon encounter in that Route/Area can be caught.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.

Wild pokemon have random AI. That's why the marowak tried to bonemerang the gyarados after using focus energy twice

Spearow learns Aerial Ace at level 25...hold off on that Fearow and you have one of, if not the, best flying moves in the game

This was fun! If you intend to keep doing this in other games I suggest using that function on the universal pokemon randomizer that allows you to get trade evolutions by leveling up or using certain items. You can apply it to the rom without randomizing it. Imagine being able to use alakazam, golem, kingdra...

You can tell how far he has come with these hardcore nuzlockes. For Gym battles, he isn’t even at the level cap for all of his Pokémon, especially the ones he plans to use. He truly has learned.
