Bernard Hermann’s music and the Hitchcockesque direction makes it very reminiscent of Vertigo. A fantastic film that is highly underrated.

I'm surprised this isn't more of a cult classic. It still holds up as a highly suspenseful psychological thriller and the plot twist is really effective, not to mention an exceptional leading performance from Hywel Bennett.

If your ever visiting the Isle of Wight, that’s where the Gypsy’s Acre scenes were shot. There’s unfortunately no house there but if you want to imagine seeing one with the view that Micheal loves then it’s at these coordinates 50°39'36.43"N 1°25'25.61"W
You can park at the Jubilee car park at the junction of strawberry lane and lynch lane and walk west for about 10 mins. Beautiful scenery and feel free to dance there like Ellie!

The best Agatha Christie novel I've read. It starts out like a Harlequin book, and gets darker and darker until it reaches the endless night.

I was 16 or 17 when i saw this at the cinema. I still remember the shocking dream scene with the faceless woman. It really gave me the creeps.

The film could have been better than it was. I thought it needed about 20 minutes edited out of it. The first part and somewhere in the middle. Tighter editing would have made the film more interesting.
