ABS Greentech is Pioneering Smart Agriculture with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Malaysia

INTRODUCTION TO ABS GREENTECH AND IPM

ABS Greentech Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based company that is pioneering smart agriculture, with Integrated Pest Management.

Integrated pest management (IPM) is a holistic approach to control pest populations with a range of solutions, including biological control, to reduce the reliance on chemical pesticides.

ABS Greentech has launched the first lowland IPM proof-of-concept farm in Malaysia. It is known as the K-SIAF, which stands for “Kalumpang Smart IPM Agroecology Farm”. The goal is to increase the adoption of pesticide-free farming in Malaysia, by showcasing innovative pesticide-free farming approaches and technologies. It is an initiative that has garnered national exposure and government recognition.

ABS Greentech’s strategic partners include market leaders from all around the globe. ABS Greentech also has the support of a number of local partners and government agencies including the Ministry of Agriculture Malaysia and Department of Agriculture Malaysia.

ABS Greentech's vision is to successfully promote the adoption of IPM technology in Malaysia with the aim of creating sustainable opportunities for local growers whilst working towards safer, healthier and higher quality crops.

Our Strategy is providing and transferring effective technology and its know-how, to support farmers to upgrade their understanding and usage of modern farming technology on their farms, especially Integrated Pest Management.
