SpaceX's sixth Starship test flight: Soft splashdown but no booster catch • FRANCE 24 English

In this Science segment, we look at SpaceX's latest test flight of its Starship megarocket. The flight went well and achieved several milestones, but the team did not manage to repeat last month's incredible manoeuvre, when the massive Super Heavy booster was retrieved by the launch tower's "chopstick" arms. That move was hailed as a marvel of engineering. FRANCE 24's Julia Sieger tells us more.

It's amazing that so many simple people let their political bias (Musk Derangement Syndrome) drive their view of these incredible advances in space flight technology. This fully reusable vehicle is simply amazing compared to the SLS system which throws away almost everything **every flight.** NASA's SLS is literally rebaked 1970s STS shuttle technology. And on top of that, the repugnant cost overruns and time delays developing a cobbled together vehicle consisting of old space shuttle parts. Speaking as a 59 yr old professional engineer, the SLS solution is pathetic in comparison to Elon Musk's SpaceX solutions.

Going to orbit is hard, but each launch was just shy of orbit on purpose so it's basically the same.
They just want to make sure that they can relight the ship so it doesn't get stuck in orbit, which would be a disaster.

Ummm sorry Ma'am are you blind ? that was not a soft landing.The booster section exploded like an atomic bomb, good thing they decided to abort the snatch and grab otherwise the landing area would have been decimated. I noted you left that section out of your video.
