If she had had any idea of what the View had evolved into during her final years, she would have been mortified.

A great interviewer with a life like most of us. Some bumps, some smooth glides. She made her mark.

I think that Barbara once said that Clint Eastwood made a romantic pass at her, which she declined, but she later regretted. Am I recalling this story correctly?

I remember the journalist, Barbara Walters, and she was very professional at that career. Her personal life is just that....personal.

Barbara was no doubt a good journalist and a trail blazer in the media. However, she had a mean streak, which would have made it difficult to be her friend. The interview that she did with a young Dolly Parton, was so nasty.

I really think Walters talking about her affair with Senator Brooke was tasteless and reflected her self centered personality; Senator Brooke has kids, relatives, hello! There are people hurt when you run your mouth! My prayers for the Senator's family.

She was a class act. Her interviews were captavating. She could get anybody talking. I always like her Oscar specials and the depth she could pull out of the stars. Thank you😊

Interesting woman. She managed to live a double standard - - probing piercingly into others lives (past & present), but, kept her own life “off limits”.

She was a journalist back when journalists still pretended to be objective.

Thanks for the post but…why does your thumbnail show Lester Holt when he has nothing to do with it? Thats the second time. Not offended but he is a family man. We should respect that.

Walters made choices I wouldn’t have made. If I had of ever met her would she be someone I would want to be friends with? I don’t know but I doubt it.

Such a smart intelligent informed talented woman. I think it’s great she dated different people. Who cares. That’s why you should never judge a book about its cover. It’s what’s inside that’s important maybe people wouldn’t be so apt to try to judge people by politics religion and take people with a grain of salt. Nobody is perfect. If we were all blind nobody could judge anybody any
More for their looks. I loved her laugh
