You're fortunate to have a new tarmac pavement which can be nicely feathered in to the edge of the channel. Most pavements are uneven concrete slabs.

Something like this is definitely needed

And, as everyone knows, the parking spot *directly* outside your house is ALWAYS clear for you to use, right?

Hi, Looks Gfreat... But.. how much does it cost, installation cost? do highways need to give permissions? does it need planning permission etc.

A great idea, unfortunately there's not even a handful of councils in the UK that will let you install one of these.

Its fine until someone parks outside ur house

Great idea but not a solution to people living in these terrace houses as most of the times you don't get to park your car outside your house. Will the council allow or assist in installation? I just bought an electric van and I'm living in this type of housing. Charging across payment is a nightmare !

Lol sure, no way am I gonna get Hounslow council to install this in my pavement!

What happens if you come home and someone else is parked there. Do you put bollards out to block anyone parking in front of your house. Good luck with that one.

Hopefully there won't be snow and then ice making it a real problem to use

What if your parking spot on the road is two hundred yards from your house?!

What happens if someone slips on it or trips when it's not closed properly. Who pays?

Is it lockable, where I live you can't even put your cat out at night without someone stealing it.

I can see some serious parking rage incidents

There are a couple of companies now offering very similar solutions, but the quote I got was around £1000. Same sort of pavement. So no thanks.

Handy for the neighbours? What have you been smoking?

No *trip* hazard - but what about the *slip* hazard from that slick, shiny surface? Bear in mind, those most vulnerable to such hazards are partially sighted and blind people, who might find it hard to spot on a rain soaked pavement.
You can share it with friends and neighbours? Then have great fun working out how much they have to pay for the current they've taken.
And the final problem. You come out in the next morning, expecting your car to be fully charged up, only to find that, overnight, some ratbag unplugged it during the night, and there's not much more charge in it than there was yesterday evening . . .
