Faulty Randall amp demo: makes weird glitch effects

Messed-up uber fuzz. I don't think it's a sound that this amp is really meant to make but it's fun to experiment with. The volume cuts out around half way. I guess both of these are symptoms of some electrical part that is freaking out at a certain point then shutting down. Will I fix it? No, it sounds great :)

Such a great sounding series of amps but they are made with questionable components in China during a time period where people had to question quality with good reason. By now I presume many issues are common and I too hope to find all the faults in the 50 watt version.
I presume cheap pots, capacitors, reverb tanks and perhaps the micro switches as well. I like the sound of the amp well enough to consider a complete rebuild with quality parts but this could be a real challenge if the circuit boards are in the typical Fender, Crate offshore thin quality.
The design is supposed to be well laid out and by the performance I presume this must be true, however the amp sold at solid state prices so we are in for an adventure debugging. The few of us who are interested and did not smash or trash one out of frustration, most certainly want to see and hear a follow up story.
