10 years of trauma built up to the point where I tried to take my life. I went to an institution, I started going to therapy & 3 years later, I'm still here. About 2 years ago (doesn't feel like that long ago), I went thru some of the worst abuse I've ever endured & I almost completely shut down again. For the most part I did, but I started giving a fuck again because of this band. Good Charlotte was the 1st band I ever fell in love with, they've been there for me when I wasn't there for myself. I can't thank them enough for what they've helped me thru. It's so crazy to think I'll be graduating in less than a year & pursuing things I actually care about. I'm also 9 months clean from any form of self harm & I'm trying really hard this time. I'm allowing myself to mess up because I'm not perfect, but I'm actually trying to turn things around this time

Edit: I'm currently a little over a year clean & the happiest I've ever been

this song is so relatable for me right now.. everyone can struggle in life, but we can support each other and hold on.
everyone is precious and every life is precious, we are not alone and we are loved, there are some people in the world who would actually care for us just for who we are even if they don't know us. some people are cruel but it's not our fault, they themself suffer with their bad tempers, we just need to love ourselves and take care of ourselves, because it's really important, while we can't force other people to love us we need do that by themself, to have our personal source of love for ourselves, we can't love others if we don't love ourselves, self-secrifice without self-love is not real love. we are just precious as anyone else, if we got hurt by someone it doesn't always mean that its because of our fault
