I love this video. I must say if this cheap base needs only a preamp, it might worth buying one. It looks pretty amazing. After changing the preamp, it sounds killer. Seriously, I may buy one.

Just installed the tone monster three band preamp ( 5 pots ) in my Standard yin yang and it really brought out the mids
And my switch is mid cut now
I love this bass

That funk got serious at 9:45 of the video.. now with that being said I've bought 2 of these joints already because when I do my gigs on the beach I don't want to take out my real
Xotic 5, Sadowsky Metroline Express, nor my Fender Ultra 5/ real 74 Jazz Bass.. As for these I have the 5 string Purple Heart Ying Yang and the James Genius copy of his 1991 Monarch which I switch the pickups and electronics out with some Batolini J's I had laying around and a old glockenlang 2 band preamp and it sounds really damn good.. As for the Ying Yang electronics I replaced it with a used Ernie Ball preamp that I got of ebay and added some shielding and left the stock pickups in it because they sound really nice as you're demonstrating them now. both are played through the Gen 1 Aguilar TH500 and 2x12 Bergatino cabinet.. I have 0 complaints with these Chinese Joints, ,

I look at these every time I go on Aliexpress. This sounds great. I have thought about getting one and if I didn't like the sound using my preamp pedals to shape it like I like it.
