Golf carts are a way of life in The Villages and in many retirement communities across the country. Machines that used to be just for motoring around a golf course are now used to get groceries, go sightseeing, and countless other things. Bought new, they can cost over $20,000. Yesteryear and custom carts can be very expensive. In this video Jerry and Linda bring you a little fun as they show some options and answer questions you may have regarding both electric and gas carts. The electric carts are super quiet and need little maintenance. Gas carts have great range, are quite dependable, and make up the bulk of the carts in The Villages. We've had the same golf cart for almost 20 years - electric. We get it tuned up, no problems. I do not care for the noise and fumes of gas. Have never owned one but been in them with others. Loved the video - very creative....

LOL!!! That was hilarious! I now think I am sold on the battery-powered car. It appears to be much less maintenance and you only have to plug it in, no gas. Thank you for a great vlog segment!

Entertaining and informative, you guys are branching out. I’ve been watching your vids from checking out the Villages on YouTube. I’m still pre-retirement age and decided to build in Beaufort, NC due to work. I will be getting a golf cart so this vid was helpful. Someday I will visit the Villages and check it out in person. A fun way to learn about the differences! Thank you all for the video! My choice would be electric. I like those cup holders and USB ports on the gas engine. Great idea to carry the folding chairs on the back in stead of golf clubs.
