I wanted to make a short video on how to remove and check the high amp fuse array in a Jeep JL, JLU, JT. I have seen a few videos on how to replace, but none on how to actually take a multimeter, and check each fuse. Hope this helps!

Let me know if you guys have any comments or questions. Thanks for watching.

Two things to add- I (many others i've seen on forums) now hold on to an extra array just incase you're on a trail, and your winch or anything else causes the fuse to blow. 2. Make sure you match the part number which you see (sorry I didn't point this out in my video) between the fuse amperage and the fuse number.

Big thanks to Wandering Okie! I had replaced the auxiliary battery and accidentally arced the positive terminal with the ground when I was screwing in the positive nut (oops). Had all the symptoms of a whacky electrical after that and came across this video. Pulled the array and tested it and sure enough the same fuse was blown. Replaced same day and now my wife’s Jeep is back on the road. Many thanks!

Unless you have some add on using N4 is also 150Amp fuse that is usually unused so if you get the shut down alarm you can just take lead from N3 and move to N4 and get back up and running then order a new z link fuse bar.

Any idea which fuse the digital dash/cluster would fall under?

I get the “Start stop system not ready” when I start my jeep, I replaced the start/stop battery and still get the same message, is it this fuse panel I need to replace now?

Wondering. I have a wrangler Jl sport. This will be my 3rd fuse rail I’m about to purchase. I’ve been using part 53AA. Could I replace it with the 54AA? Thanks in advance for the help.

Quick question. While I know the symptoms but with a blown fuse, if you try to jump the Jeep, will it start up?

Came across this video. Thanks for positing. This fuse array is N2-N7

We are being told our N1 and N2 are not getting power. Fuses blown. Do you know what the N1 does? How to replace it? How it would have blown?

Thank you! Figured out my problem was the blown fuse on N3.

Hi, just replaced my aux battery and accidentally touch positive to the ground terminal. The video helped. Question???? Since you have a spare 150a on that high amp bar, n4, why couldn’t you use that (at least until you could get the new part?

Under normal conditions, why are these fuses blowing, especially a 150A fuse?

Followed the process to replace the fuse block. When I was putting the negative terminal connects back together, it sparked. Why is there power on the negative side when I have to positive terminals undone?

Thanks for this. My fuse array at spot #3 was blown. Changed it out with a new one from the dealership. Unfortunately, my entire jeep is still dead.

Are there any prerequisites to changing out the fuse array? Does the battery need to be completely disconnected in advance? Anything at all need to happen before doing the steps in this video? Kindly asking for guidance as I’d like to do this myself since the dealership is trying to charge me $600 to do this.

I had this happen to me. I had no clue what was going on. I took it to the dealer and they charged me an outrageous amount of money to fix this. About 3 weeks ago it happened again. I have not yet fixed it but this time I am disconnecting my Winch and see if that is what is blowing this dang thing. I am sick of not driving my jeep. I missed all summer because of it. Can you do a video on the ESS Relay?
