This is just insane absurdity! Russian art, literature, and music is a gift to all humanity. It has absolutely nothing to do with the current government of Russia and Putin. By the way, Mr. Soave, Tchaikovsky was a nineteenth-century composer, not eighteenth.

We live in the dumbest possible timeline.

They can't actually cancel him. I can and will listen to Tchaikovsky any time I want.

Tchaikovsky is one of the most genius composers in the world history. Such a shame.

Tchaikovsky is one of the greatest musicians of all time and is up there with Mozart and Beethoven. His legacy will never be erased.

I just threw out my Russian dressing and canceled my game of Russian Roulette because my TV told me to...

Listening to Tchaikovsky today because all this anti-all-things Russian and harassing Americans of Russian descent is getting out of hand. I am as sad for the Russian people as I am Ukrainians right now. They’ve been living under this regime for more than two decades. Plus, Tchaikovsky was one of my childhood favorites along with Vivaldi, Chopin and my man Beethoven. The 1812 Overture is classic rock in my opine. Canons in music was what this 9-year-old dreamer dug. Pray for peace, but pray harder we don’t fall prey to our worst tribal instincts.

It's weird, because 3 weeks ago I thought that Russophobia was a made up term. Turns out I was wrong. McCarthyism 2.0

My kids are 1/100th Russian decent. I’ve since disowned them and also sent them off to the Russian embassy to be shipped back where they came from. I feel personally offended that I could have spawned such racist offspring. Fingers crossed on the next batch….

We've truly reached frightening levels of hysteria and stupidity.

I have a collection of Tchaikovsky's works. Symphony number 6 is one of my favorites. I think I shall play it today in defiance of the woke idiocy and censorship. Some of my favorite authors are Russian, Dostoevsky, Turgenev, Chekov and even Solzhenitsyn. These woke morons could benefit from reading these authors, in particular, Dostoevsky and Solzhenitsyn. An easier read might be "1984" and "brave New World. English authors are at least not yet censored.
I'm disgusted at the attitude of many modern, so called, artists. We are truly entering an intellectual dark age.

It’s a little strange to cancel classical music.
Can you imagine being one of the musicians that trained and practiced that for months to be thoughtlessly canceled?
It would be like canceling the Olympics.
Thanks guys and Kim!!

The 1812 Overture is by far my favorite. I've seen it performed live with real canon fire. One of the most impressive pieces of music. I'm just so beyond disgusted with the mindset of people around the world. There seems to be no common sense at all!

The 1812 overture was written in response to the French marching on Moscow, for centuries the French, British, Ottoman Empire and many more marched on Russia. Is it any surprise that when NATO went back on their promise not to put missiles on Russia’s border they reacted

This is just racism at this point. The composer has nothing to do with this tragedy other than his ethnicity.

Most symphonies and opera companies survive from season subscriptions. Subscribers need to start demanding refunds and seriously complain when they change programs this way. Absurd!

Friend sent me an article about how restaurants in Quebec are removing poutine from the menu because it sounds too much like Putin.

Also Tchaikovsky is (quack)ing awesome.

This is what happens when we focus on teaching our children CRT and how to hate each other instead of teaching them actual History 🙄
