The Blue Peter Doctor Who Competition
Our exciting new competition will see one superfan win an exclusive, top secret, behind the scenes VIP tour of the Doctor Who set and find out how the iconic series is made.

And if you thought this competition couldn’t be any more awesome, the winners and top 500 competition entries will also receive a limited edition, Doctor Who Blue Peter Competition Winner’s Badge! If that doesn’t get you excited, we don’t know what will.

To enter The Blue Peter Doctor Who Competition, you’ll need to draw some amazing fan art to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who and tell us why you would love the chance to win an exclusive VIP tour of the top-secret Doctor Who set and be one of the first members of the public to see the new era TARDIS.

The Blue Peter Doctor Who Competition is open from 5pm on Friday 28th April 2023 until 5pm on Monday 15th May 2023.

How to enter
To enter the Competition entrants must:

Have a parent/guardian’s permission to enter the competition.
Draw your Doctor Who Fan Art to celebrate the 60th birthday of the show.
Explain in your own words why would you like to go behind the scenes on Doctor Who set. (In no more than 100 words).
Use the online entry form to upload your entry, or download and print the postal entry form.
Grab a parent or guardian to help you fill in your application form, as they’ll need to give us some details and their permission too.
Top Tips

Be creative, be original and use your brilliant imaginations.

We want your entry to be the best it can be, so here are some tips to think about before you get started:

DO
Make your drawing original, creative and eye-catching.
We encourage you to submit your design using colours.
Let your imagination run wild!
Think about what you love about Doctor Who. Maybe you’ve enjoyed the adventures in time and space, the tech and gadgets, the companions or even the monsters. You may decide to draw a picture of a Doctor Who alien or monster, your favourite Doctor or companion, it could be a scene from your favourite episode! You could even create a poster for the new series!! Get creative and give us your best and final design for your Doctor Who fan art!

DON’T
Copy images or use digital technology to create your image.
Write more than 100 words for your answer.
Don’t feature in your design any pre-existing characters, brand names, or other third-party ideas other than from Doctor Who or Blue Peter (this means ideas that someone else has already come up with)
This must be YOUR original work.
Words and imagery must be age appropriate for a Blue Peter audience.
Important notes:

If entering using the online form, please keep your original artwork in a safe place until November 2023.

If you are entering by post, please attach the correct postage and make sure your entry arrives with us here in the Blue Peter office no later than 17:00 Monday 15 May 2023. Late entries will be disqualified.

Remember, if a sibling would like to enter the competition using the online form, you'll need to have individual BBC accounts to upload your entries.

The Prizes

1st Prize: 1 Winner
You will attend Wolf Studios, where Doctor Who is made.
You will meet the Doctor Who design team.
You will receive a framed version of your design.
Your design will be featured by Doctor Who online channels
You will attend a recording of Blue Peter where you will be announced as the winner of the competition during one of our weekly shows.
You will receive an Orange Blue Peter badge AND a limited-edition Doctor Who Competition Winner’s Badge.
