Wales is actually 200 times cooler than we learn in school, I mean I had no idea that Welsh people were actually the descendants of Roman Britons and that King Arthur was actually Welsh until like, a year ago, and I literally grew up in the UK.

Y'all can slander or insult Wales as much as you want but between Brittanny, Ireland, Scotland, the isle of Mann and Cornwall.
Wales is by FAR the one whose Celtic heritage (well Brithonic but yea) is best conserved when Gaelic nearly disapeared, old Irish nearly disapeared but still has a bigger population left, Mann and Cornwall litteraly had no living speaker left of their language and the governement had to create a program to reinstate the languages there, and Brittany still has a decent population of speaker that speak the language as 2nd language but most of them are over 65 years old and dying.
Meanwhile Wales whose language was conserved and protected the whole time still prosper

Wales is a strange place, the most impoverished and least thought of part of the UK but somehow still the friendliest people, most beautiful natural landscapes, mountains and hills, woods and coastlines. There seems to be some kind of almost genetic fascination with history and stories of older times, a deep appreciation for tradition and history in the countryside along side crazy raving city dwellers who just drink, fight and fuck

I was born in Scotland and raised in Yorkshire however Wales will always hold a special place in my heart.
