Minecraft Date Night

Two squares play a game about cubes.

Minecraft Date Night gets the distinction of being one of the oldest date night games we play. Long before the two of us met I used to play tons of Minecraft with my brother, but it was my boyfriend who showed me there was more to life than just building dirt castles. Nowadays Minecraft Date Night is a rabbit hole we go tumbling into every couple of months when we get the itch to break blocks and work on our 64 times tables.

I'm going to keep saying it. I love the effort put into these videos. All the voice over is perfectly paired with the in game footage to better illustrate what is being said. I really appreciate actually going back in, creating a setup to show what happened (mining the quartz, going down the separate tunnels, burning down the house, reactions from Animal Crossings, inefficient enchantment, ect). Great video!

It is crazy to me how some people can just build for 3-4 hours straight in this game. The majority of my stuff comes out resembling the leaning tower of piza just due to how unsymmetrical and lopsided they all are, and then I turn around and see someone made a working calculator without using command blocks. Despite what you may say, the builds in the video are all very impressive. Them being unfinished just adds character.

You may want to consider:
- /gamerule keepInventory true (Keep your inventory and experience on death)
- /gamerule mobGriefing false (Mobs don't cause terrain damage; though this does also disable a few useful interactions like villagers farming and snow golems producing snow)
- /gamerule doFireTick false (Fire neither spreads nor burns out on its own)
Personally I like using the first two but not the third; but that's all up to personal taste.
