In high school, I got a tip off from a friend that this girl liked me. I was so excited to think that a girl liked me, that I lost my rationality. I asked her out. We went to the homecoming dance. We went on dates. We watched Friends in her car. After a while, I realized I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't really like her. But she liked me. I _let her down._ It was my first relationship and I jumped in so fast, I had no time to stop and think. Maybe I wanted to prove to my friends that I could get a girlfriend. Maybe I myself was so desperate to be loved, I forgot that I had a responsibility to love her back. I was such an idiot. I ended up breaking up with her. I told her she was beautiful and had a great personality. Really fun to be around. But I wasn't the one - I made a mistake and I just wanted to be friends. It was obviously too late for that, but I had no other option. I wish I could make us never happen. :/
