I had 8 ringnecks at one time. They've all passed except two who are brothers at 30 years of age.
I SWEAR to you, they had their own room and it always sounded like a room full of teenagers playing Asteroids!!!

Incidentally, the two parents were rescued and I have no idea how old they were. They were fully colored, so I know they were adults, but I had the female 30 years almost to the day and the male lived 9 months longer. It seems that 30 years is their lifespan no matter how well they're treated.

My ring neck finally made some sounds after hearing your ring neck video. I rescued him from the Humane Society where there was a seizure of over 220 animals here in Texas. He’s a bit shy but I can tell he is a sweet boy. It will take some time for Gumbeaux to get re-acclimated again to his new and permanent lifetime home. It breaks my heart how badly he suffered. Now he can enjoy his life. He has already did the cutest neck roll dance and seems to enjoy the applause we give him. He loves all the attention. Beautiful beautiful sweet bird!!!!
