My son just got me the same one for Christmas. I haven't used it yet. Glad to hear it's so good! Thanks for the review!

Solid headlamp! Bindi is my go to, but that CORE battery is rad.

I just got a Bindi but I am old and shaving ounces for a long hike this year! This one looks sweet too!

Really strange that you have so less subscribers, you have nice channel. Thanks for videos 👍🏻

You can add the CORE battery to pretty much any Petzl headlamp that uses the 3 aaa batteries. I got a couple of them for my Tikka and Tikkina that my kids use. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go. I was carrying 3 spare aaa's but I can recharge from my external battery pack I use to charge everything else. (I switched to the nu25 personally but the Petzls are still a great choice for anyone in my opinon)

This pick really surprised me and agree it is a solid choice. Really thought you would choose the Nitecore NU25 or something similar because of how weight conscious you usually are (not that the Actik is really all that heavy). I trust Petzl headlamps more than any other brand and use the Petzl Bindi myself.

Seems like you missed a perfect stocking stuffer opportunity. ;) I am a huge fan of the Petzl Core line. I rocked the Tikka on the PCT and it is still going strong. To save a little weight and space I replaced the stock headband with a piece of shock cord.

I'll have to check that one out... In the market for a second one. Thanks for sharing.

This has a lot of nice features but I will stay with my NU-25 with the mod headband. Take Care

$70 is kind of pricey for me. That's more than my Ridge Outdoor hammock! :D
You can get some pretty decent cheapo lights these days. Mine was 1000 lumens or probably more like 500 lumens for each of the 2 LEDs and probably a little bit heavier than yours because of the 2200mAH 18650 battery. Also they include the battery for around $35 or less. My version didn't come with a red light or a firefly mode, but I think they fixed in the next version that is out now. Although mine does have a cool hands-free on and off feature.

Check out the NiteCore NU25 if you have not before. It's the best in my opinion. Super light weight and rechargeable.
