It is the Mohs scale to the rescue. The Mohs scale has ten minerals that increase in hardness. Talc is a number one and is the softest and diamond is the hardest.

I found a mineral which is awesome and very lustrous. It was certified by gemologist as silica glass. The hardness value was 4 according to his certificate. But video says hardness value is 5 to 5.5..is that certificate correct?
